The apartment had all the essential systems — lighting, climate, and access — but they operated independently. There was no shared logic between them, which meant the space itself did not respond to how it was actually used.

The goal was not just to automate, but to do it in a way that feels natural. In a real home environment, especially with children, automation must be: predictable non-intrusive and aligned with everyday movement The challenge was to create a system that supports daily routines without demanding attention.

We designed a smart home system that works quietly in the background, built around two key principles: presence and central control (Master OFF). At the core, the apartment now understands when someone is there — and when no one is. When entering the home, lighting responds instantly, but only within defined time ranges, avoiding unnecessary triggers Movement inside the space creates a natural flow of light — for example, in the office, lighting builds up gradually from a soft entry light to full illumination at the workspace In the evenings, the environment shifts — subtle LED lighting under the kitchen activates with smooth ramping, creating a calm, premium atmosphere instead of full brightness At the same time, control remains simple and clear.
